The above company was the main contractor for the construction and fit out of an extension to our offices at St Owen Street, Hereford.
The project was of a single storey brick/block construction and tiled roof together with major external refurbishment of our existing offices. All these works were completed to a high standard whilst maintaining full access to our existing offices. The site itself was difficult with access issues, adjoining properties and a very small working area.
We have no hesitation in recommending E C Joseph & Sons Ltd for their competence in the construction and refurbishment to a good quality and, additionally, we would also take this opportunity to mention their ability to adjust to our needs was exceptional.

We write as the architects for the conversion of the former cottage hospital in Kington Herefordshire, to a youth hostel for the Youth Hostel Association for which EC Joseph were appointed as main contractors.
The works were commissioned by Advantage West Midlands with the initial budget for the project being approx. £298,000 and the final account coming-in at £324,000.
The works were carried out during 2004 with the final certificate being issued in early 2006. That the final account figure rose was no reflection on EC Joseph and indicates the extent of additional works that were required to complete the project.
From the start EC Joseph exhibited good organization and management of the works and their willingness to respond quickly to both the need for additional works and the provision of properly costed variations assisted greatly in delivering the project.
Being a small company with short lines of communication we were always able to get a quick resolution to issues on site and the company's flexibility in allocating staffing resources to suit need together with a desire to provide a good quality product reflects well on them.
Post completion they responded promptly and without complaint to requests from both ourselves and the building users to any defects that arose. Should the opportunity arise we would have no hesitation in working with this contractor or suggesting their inclusion on any tender list, Should you require further information on this specific project please do not hesitate to contact this office.
